Our Team

The North Fly District Development Authority (NFDDA) was established in 2014 under the District Development Authority Act 2014. It is responsible for coordinating and implementing development plans and projects in the North Fly District, which includes the communities of Ningerum, Balimo, and Kiunga.

The North Fly District is located in the Western Province of Papua New Guinea and covers an area of approximately 16,000 square kilometers. The district is home to a diverse population, including indigenous groups such as the Wawoi Guavi people, as well as people from other parts of Papua New Guinea and other countries who have come to work in the district’s mining and resource industries.

The NFDDA works closely with local communities, government agencies, and private sector partners to identify development priorities and plan and implement projects that will have a positive impact on the lives of people in the North Fly District. Some of the key areas of focus for the NFDDA include infrastructure development, education, health, and economic development.
